A New Place
03:20
|
|||
Where does that place go?
And why don't I know?
The place looked good to me
Knew there I would be happy
The smiling people and the light
Everything clean and new and bright
I cycled up the hill
I saw the city there
The door was open, and I went through
But later I was scared
We can't feel good all of the time
I don't feel good all of the time
It smelt of a new place
This place is really new
I'm not at war with you
There we are seperate, we're not opposed
And there is room for two
Your worth does not define my worth
Because there isn't any worth

I Found It Inside
04:23
|
|||
My logic was twisted
Live life to the full
Fear and reassurance
Back and forth they pull
The end is something happy
I think that someone said
Hell is a construction
(I don't think it exists)
We're ok when we're dead
The joy when I cry
The doubt in my mind
I roll and I writhe
The logic is mine
Explosion in the sky
I want you to be mine
I scream myself dry
I tear myself wide
The pain is going by
Bliss is behind
Once you were mine, and I left you behind
Was living to cry
Your body was divine
I wanted to fly
I wanted to die
I loved you all the time
The curve of your spine
The agony was mine
The joy was the sign
We die when its time
I wanted to hide
I saw it that night
The virus outside
I found it inside

Edward
04:52
|
|||
A song in the leaves
The sun is coming through
Water falling over stone
I'm running in the green
Leaping over streams
Tumbling and falling, river down below
A rope from a tree
High up on a slope
They're over there
I faint and I swoon
His friends are from a different school
If they see me what will I do?
They're all over there
Shapes I never knew
Colours I never seen before
I've never felt like this before
What will they say?
What will they see?
Stupid vulnerable me
Its with them I would die to be
Edward
He scoffs
He exists to mock you
I love you
I hate you

Lindsey

A hedge of small green leaves
Seperates my house from yours
Elle est ma meilleure amie
Ma voisine that lives next door
Lindsey a les cheveux bruns
Dans la tente sur la pelouse
Back garden in the sun
On est entrés et on s'est vus
Connection, connection, its wrong
Programmed to be depraved
Le peché originel
Child who was born this way
Needs protection from himself
Let them not live or touch
La nature est refoulée
Wrong should they do so much
L'enfant sera humilié
Connection, connection, its wrong
You called me down
Went outside to play out
La tienda cerrada
La rope al lado
Undressed
Protégeme señor de mi pecado
Soy malo

Bluebell, bracken, ash leaf, oak leaf, fern
I was there
Water from the past returned
You were there
Watched the steam too hot, too clean to enter there
Oh the flush of your face, your neck and your hair
Your pale glow everywhere
All the rocks out on the mountainside
Have departed with the sky
I fell in it to infinite endlessness
Twilight there on your breast but I never guessed
that I could remain there
I'm going home she says
Back to Mexico
My eyes drip blood and pain
It runs down from my nose
I cry now for my past
I sob for all I've seen
Not really lived at last
It was all a dream
My life was all half-bought
But never outright
Seems I was never taught
to see what is in sight

The Wolf
06:50
|
|||
The wolf lived on this own
in a cold dark forest
Where the hills are silver at dawn
Wandering low, alone in his home
Slept on the silent forest floor
In his home he was alone, the forest was cold
And the spiders webs
There where noone did go, the wolf was alone
There lived in a cabin there
An old man, his son and daughter in law
With them the wolf was obsessed
They'd never have guessed
He'd lie under their shack, ear to the floor
For 'neath their home was a hole
Noone did know
And the wolf could hide
at night as they sat inside
He knew their names, the jokes that they made
It seemed they were his friends,
or so he'd pretend alone in the trees
But the wolf had never actually spoken to his friends at all
One day the wolf passed the shelter
with the dusk on the trees
When there from door
there was a call
Someone help, help me
The wolf he ran, saw the old man
Not planned, sudenly there
Where he'd never dared
But the old man was kind
He thanked the wolf, and asked him to stay a while
So the wolf did stay
Then a noise made the wolf's heart pound
Two young people came into view
The wolf leapt from his chair
His mind filled with despair
But the words that he heard seemed not to be true
Wolf, don't go
We'd like to know more about thee
Here you're at home
Don't leave
The forest is cold
We will make tea
Here you're at ease
